Fiery Volcanoes, Lava Tubes, Waterfalls and Local Sweets

Experience the raw power and beauty of Hawaii's Big Island on this intimate small-group tour from Hilo. Witness the world's most active volcano—the mighty KÄ«lauea—along with a cavernous lava tube, thundering tropical waterfalls, lush jungles, and when time permits: delicious local chocolates and macadamia nuts.  No strenuous hikes required—just comfortable walking shoes recommended. We customize each tour daily to deliver the best experience.  When Kilauea's angry, her fiery lava ("pele") will be our number one priority.  But unlike other companies rooted to the long drive to the crowded national park, when the volcano isn't active, we flexibly explore more hidden gems of the windward side of Hawaii's youngest and largest island.  That means less driving and crowds, and more waterfalls, peaceful jungle scenery, volcanic formations and private beach overlooks that most tourists never see. Cruise passengers will be returned by 1:30 PM for your ship's complimentary lunch and time to refresh before heading out for afternoon activities.

Maximize your Hilo day: Add our popular 2–5 PM black-sand beach experience (bundle for savings): scenic garden drive, additional waterfalls, world famous black-sand beaches, wading/swimming/snorkeling in crystal-clear waters teeming with colorful fish, and sea turtles sunning in hidden coves.

Unforgettable adventure awaits—limited spots!
