Private Van Tour of Windward side of the Big Island

Allow Big Hawai'i Tours to give your private group the most immersive, intimate and unique all day experience of the Big Island.  We can include all of the usual sites outlined in our AM/PM tours but also tailor the day to meet your needs and desires.  This won't be your typical bus or van tour ... this will be YOUR day on the BIG!

We will provide water bottles and if this is a shore excursion, bring you back to enjoy your ship's complimentary, on-board lunch and time to change attire before heading out for afternoon activities (think comfortable walking shoes in the morning and sandals and beach gear for afternoon black sand experiences)

Exclusions

    While we don't provide lunch in our van, we can stop at some of the best restaurants in Hilo or bring you back to your ship (for you cruisers enjoying this tour as your shore excursion) for their on-board offerings and then head out for more site seeing and adventures. This is your tour, your day and our pleasure to open up the windward side of the Big Island of Hawai'i!

    What to bring

      The windward side of the BIG is very green thanks to frequent afternoon/evening showers.  But sometimes it can get wet during daytime hours, so dress accordingly.  Also, when Kilauea is erupting (and she's been very active lately), we will make the National Park a priority, but it can get surprisingly cool there despite Pele's lava fountains.
