Allow Big Hawai'i Tours to give your private group of up to 15 passengers the most immersive, intimate and unique all day (9 hours for cruise passengers) experience of the Big Island by booking our entire van and expert guide just for you.  Our van and service offer premium-level comfort, so you can sit back, relax and let us reveal all the best of Hawai'i's  windward side.  

Since you're purchasing our exclusive service, we can curate your experience to cover some/all of the usual sites outlined in our AM/PM tours, but also add-in stops that are too far-flung or off the beaten path that we simply don't have time to cover in our morning/afternoon routes.  Let us fashion the day to meet your needs and desires.  This won't be your typical bus or van tour ... this will be YOUR day on the BIG!  

Once you've booked your day, reach out to us, directly, with any special requests, including alternative pickup/drop-off locations not listed in our standard checkout if you're not a cruiser arriving/departing from Hilo port.

We will provide water bottles and if this is a shore excursion, bring you back to enjoy your ship's complimentary, on-board lunch and time to change attire before heading out for afternoon activities (think comfortable walking shoes in the morning and sandals and beach gear for afternoon black sand experiences)

Exclusions

    While we don't provide lunch in our van, we can stop at some of the best restaurants in Hilo or bring you back to your ship (for you cruisers enjoying this tour as your shore excursion) for their on-board offerings and then head out for more site seeing and adventures. This is your tour, your day and our pleasure to open up the windward side of the Big Island of Hawai'i!

    Most cruise liners port in Hilo at least 9 hours, providing your private group ample time for BigHawaiiTours to treat you to the best of the windward side of the Big Island of Hawai'i and guaranteed "all aboard" return.

    What to bring

      The windward side of the BIG is very green thanks to frequent afternoon/evening showers.  But sometimes it can get wet during daytime hours, so dress accordingly.  Also, when Kilauea is erupting (and she's been very active lately), we will make the National Park a priority, but it can get surprisingly cool there despite Pele's lava fountains.
